Amphenol Technology Macedonia was founded in Kochani in October 2013 as a part of Amphenol Corporation-USA.
Amphenol is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. The Company designs, manufactures and markets electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems.
The primary end markets for the Company's products are communications and information processing markets, including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication and information processing systems; aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications.
There are four production units in Amphenol Technology Macedonia – three for production of cables for the automotive sector and one for antennas for the telecommunication sector.

We are based in Macedonia and operate throughout Europe selling our products. Initially, the project was as a CMT operation servicing our UK partner Comfy Quilts Ltd. Until recently we have been solely supporting the UK operation. However, we are now pro-actively growing our own sales across Europe.
Specialized in production of filled bedding, we have many different qualities and designs of fabric available.
Mainly using synthetic materials, we produce on site pillows, quilts, throwovers, mattress covers, sleeping bags and all aspects of bedding. Besides the regular lines, we also make specific products such as waterproof, anti-allergenic and fire retardant items.
We have a large capacity on site and monthly capacity up to 400,000 pillows, 120,000 duvets, 200,000 mattress protectors, 160,000 units of bedding, together with 140,000 pieces of in house designed packaging. And...we can extend this quickly by +30% within 4 weeks.
Our site here in Prilep is approx 22500m² and we employ near 1000 staff.
We work to equivalent ISO 9001:2000 Standards and comply with UK Health & Safety Legislation when we gained the highest possible rating on an internationally recognized technical and ethical audit.
Our factory is Oeko-Tex and BSCI accredited.We also attained the Intertek ICS Social and Ethical audits with the highest marks as well as numerous other UK retailer audit accreditations. (SGS, Intertek, SMETA)
We currently export to most countries in Europe. Our sales have reached UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Serbia, Italy, Malta, Greece, Austria, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Holland, Romania, Denmark, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, etc. and from the non-European countries to Brasil and Kuwait, with tendency to expand even more. We have a small local market which we are also looking to increase.

The company KROMBERG & SCHUBERT MACEDONIA DOOEL Bitola is firstly registered in Skopje, in 2011. Later, once the construction of the production plant was completed and the production process began, the company was re-registered in the industrial zone “Zhabeni”. The Greenfield approach, which is mainly designated for the less developed and the developing countries, is always an interesting investment solution. Being a country in development, Macedonia is also part of this group of countries, so it became interesting for this kind of investments. The so-called “Greenfield approach” means investment in the construction and the functionality of an entirely new production plant, where the transfer of the production process is also included. The company asset in Bitola consists of a production plant, administrative building, canteen, changing rooms for the employees, parking area and an inner yard.
The company in Bitola is active for 4 years by now and there are 4 actively commenced projects – for BMW X1, which was successfully completed in 2015, and Mini Cooper, Mercedes Vito / V - Class and Audi A4. The plant supplies these automotive giants with cable harnesses, which happen to be the “nervous system” of a vehicle. We hope to see some of these vehicles on our roads quite soon. Those would be vehicles that would consist of our parts as well - parts labeled as “Made in Macedonia”.
In the past few years, the number of employees is in constant growth – at the moment, the total number of employees is over 2700. Our activities and responsibilities are divided in accordance with the structure, which consists of 7 departments: Production, Quality, Logistics, Industrial engineering, Human resources, Finances and IT. The production is generally manual and it is carried out on 12 production lines and additional areas for special operations.
